What Is Sober Living?
Sober living homes provide a structured, substance-free environment for people in recovery from addiction. Unlike inpatient treatment centers, sober living homes are residential — they feel like a real home, not a clinical facility. Residents live together, share responsibilities, and support each other while rebuilding their lives.
Sober living bridges the gap between treatment and independent living. It gives people time and stability to strengthen their recovery before navigating life entirely on their own. For many, it is the difference between relapse and lasting recovery.
What Sober Living Looks Like at Rooted Co-Living
At Rooted Co-Living, our sober living homes in Corona, California are designed to feel like home — because they are. Our residences are fully furnished, clean, and located in quiet residential neighborhoods in the Inland Empire.
Here is what daily life looks like for our residents:
- Structured routines. Curfew hours run from 6 AM to 11 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 6 AM to midnight on weekends. Structure creates stability, which is a cornerstone of recovery.
- Peer support and house meetings. Residents participate in regular house meetings and lean on each other for accountability. Recovery is a team effort.
- Random drug testing. All residents are subject to random urinalysis. This is not about punishment — it is about accountability and keeping the environment safe for everyone.
- Independence with support. Residents are expected to attend their own outpatient treatment or recovery program. Rooted is not a treatment center. We are a home that supports your treatment journey.
We operate as a structured recovery residence, providing a monitored, peer-supportive environment with house rules, structure, and staff oversight.
